The Sleeping Beauty trilogy has to be the most enthralling and captivating
series I've ever had the pleasure of reading. I got the first book from
a friend, and as soon as I finished it I had to go out and buy the second
and third books. I couldn't put them down! I've always read a lot in the
past but never anything that actually kept me intrigued throughout the
entire book, let alone an entire series. These books awaken the dormant
animalistic desires that burn within us all. A definate must read for
anyone that needs some passion and excitement in their lives.

Magic is Pat Califa's basic intro to BDSM play. The book is somewhat short
and does not cover a very wide spectrum of play, however, it does provide
a good overview of the basics. If you are looking for a "how to"
book of techniques, you are better off with a book like SM 101 or Screw
the Roses, Send Me the Thorns.
However, Ms. Califia
does an excellent job at examining the psychology and spirituality of
BDSM play. She intersperses her words of wisdom with a few well chosen
fantasies that help new players to get a feel for how BDSM scenes might

book is a wonderful introduction to those seeking to explore their dominant
side. It is quite clear how John Warren earned his name of "Mentor".
His love and caring for the women in his life shines off of every page
in the book. The book serves not only as a wonderful technical book, it
serves as a benchmark of what a good "Master" should be. In
many ways I found that to be the best part of this book, it clearly shows
that healthy loving relationships can exist in this scene. Because of

The
deeper I got into this book, the more often I found myself saying "YES!"
in agreement with Philip and Molly's philosophies about doing SM. This,
along with SM 101 by Jay Wiseman is truly a "must have" book
if you're serious about wanting to learn what SM is all about.
The book covers
virtually every facet of play from descriptions of what each "type"
of SM players are, looking out for the "wannabes," negotiation
before playing, bondage techniques, flogging, spanking, and even humiliation.

This
is a must read for all the altsexers out there! In fact, even though I
am altsexer myself, I found the information in here invaluable in my "normal"
life. Many of the situations and attitudes that are pointed out by Campbell
apply to everyday situations outside of the community. I found this book
invaluable and an incredibly good reminder that people need to be polite
to each other. In fact, I've read passages of this book to straight friends
who have asked me how to act in certain situations and even though the
book was meant for altsexers it worked fabulously in straight situations.
I would say that this is an easy and fun read. It is something that I
think everyone should read altsex or not. We could all use a dose of politeness

It
can be difficult to balance between talking down to those who will feel
they have a lot of experience in BDSM and tallking over those who are
just learning about BDSM. This book does a good job of looking at a wide
range of activities and interests, some of them for the first time, so
that newbies can feel grounded while advanced kinky folk can mull over
the concepts. Even though the book grew out of Bean's own journey toward
becoming a master, I think the book can speak to anyone regardless of
vanilla sexual orientation. However the book often reads more like it
is geared toward the bottom or submissive partner in a relationship.

concept, brilliant title, brilliant work! The author dispels misconceptions
about BDSM and encourages the reader to use his/her creative imaginations.
Highly recommended for the clinical psychologist for his/her practice,
members of the legal profession for understanding, or even members of
sexual minorities looking for avenues of expression. A must read for anyone
interested in BDSM or cultural anthropology/cultural expression. A realistic
approach to this topic is what is needed most and this book delivers that

been involved in a true 24/7 BDSM Lifestyle for the past 25 years. Most
of the books written on the subject were either pornographic in nature
and/or lacking in the true understanding of the proper dynamics in a healthy
consensual BDSM Lifestyle. This book is WONDERFUL. I completely agree
with every aspect of this book. It is so well written and so informative
and accurate.
I usually do not read BDSM books because so many books are filled with
fantasy/nonsense. This book was refreshing. My slave and I read a chapter
at a time and discussed the topics. I enjoyed the authors interviewing
REAL people in the Life. You may not like/enjoy all the activities in
each chapter (who does!) but it is worth reading about and expanding your
mind. I give this book an extremely high rating and feel that the novice
out there would do her/him self a service to take the time to read this

book is quite amazing both in subject and style. I want to be Blue, what
woman doesn't? To be loved and obsessed over, to experience hard sex all
mixed in with adoration and domination, always knowing that the Master
worships you. The chapter called "Blue in Cuba" is too hot to

enjoyed this book thoroughly. Our star Charlotte is captured on a Spanish
ship in the Med (1500's) by rebels. She realizes slowly what it involves
being a slave. Then she is captured by another pirate who subjugates her
and sells her to a slave market. But first she must be trained to be a
"proper" slave. The details are amazing, and as she is put on
the block for sale you begin to see that she was taught things and put
through exercises in an order that leads up to her being a "best
buy" the slave market. (eg: special exercises, dances, piercings,
training,etc.) There is some whipping, lots of hot sex, and great detail
to make it a very exciting read. I would highly recommend it, and am already

Up
until now "The Erotic Bondage Handbook" was the most comprehensive
reference on rope bondage. However, while "The Seductive Art of Japanese
Bondage" isn't as comprehensive, I think that it is the better book.
The author Midori
is famous for her elaborate rope bondage scenes and this coffee table
format book show us why. The front cover is immediately arresting with
a woman in partial suspended bondage, standing on one leg, while Midori
supports her.
I like this book
very much, here is someone writing about something that they are not
only an expert at, but also who clearly loves what they are doing and
the effect it can have on others. Midori writes in a clear, easy style
that draws you in and gives you the feeling that with a bit of rope
you too can produce results similar to the illustrations.

Most
of us have read the familar white cover paperback version of this erotic
classic. Ms. Kloster has excerpted quite a bit of the text and illustrated
it with photographs taken on location in Paris. The full color photographs
exude a rich sumptioness of color and texture that would befit a fashion
shoot. The models are uniformly pleasing to the eye - the women nicely
built with an air of erotic fear; the men with a sexual menace. The photos
(and text) follow O as she is introduced to Roissy where her lover, Rene,
has taken her to learn the ways of sexual servitude. We see how she is
made to perform for several "masters" and is chastized by them.
Later after leaving Roissy, Rene introduces O to his older half brother
Sir Stephen. Sir Stephen eventually takes over ownership of O and delivers
her to Ann Marie (in a very delightful photo) where her training will
be consumated. There O has her labia pierced with a ring and her buttocks
branded by Sir Stephen. Along the way, she is whipped by another girl
while tied upright to a column(rather than spread eagle on a dias; this
is one area where Ms. Kloster's photography does not follow the original
text).The book concludes with O being presented to a group of party goers
- led naked by a leash attached to the ring in her genitals. Overall,
a good read and quite erotic. One can only wish that Ms. Kloster had even
more photographs to illustrate this "Story of O."
